Milo tincans and "Zhui Kueh"

We started our day on 26th May 2007 by going down to our house at around 11am to see if there is any progress with the reno. Here are some of the photos taken on that morning.

The tiles for all the rooms are laid except that the living area as shown above is not finished as the borders were not white cement plastered.

The foyer area was laid with the kitchen tiles. Hope to see more progress next week.

Next stop, we headed down to Balestier, shop name - Lumiere Lightings to meet our designer Diana to purchase light fittings. She recommended us this shop cos she can only find nice lightings here and no other places. It doesn't take us long to choose the lights as Diana made most of the decisions as she knows which lightings will fit our design theme. Here are some photos of the lights chosen:

These are the "Milo Tincans" lightings for our kitchen and toilets. We have chosen the white one in the medium and large size. They looked simple and nice.

Next our master bedroom light, it's the most expensive light out of all the one that we have chosen. It is sort of special and resembled the shape of an overturned "Zhui Kueh" as shown in the below picture.

The total damage cost us 900 bucks and will be delivered to our new house by this coming Saturday 2nd June. Next stop, we went to Novena Sq and the new shopping mall Square 2. Nothing much there but we had a tasty waffle but the shop owner took a long time to prepare the waffle... If not, it will definitely tasted nicer. In the evening, I took ger to a ramen shop Beppu Ramen restaurant to have dinner. The ramen tasted good and the service was not bad. Last year same day, we also had Japanese food for dinner. Such a coincidence.
